CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
March 5, 2020

At Kallman Worldwide the health and safety of exhibitors, visitors and staff is our number one priority as we organize USA Partnership Pavilions at international trade shows around the world.
Face-to-face meetings can and must continue. Effective international trade shows enable us to meet numerous clients from around the world and eliminate the need for dozens of business trips to accomplish the same goals.
That said, we also respect the serious nature of the COVID-19 virus and are undertaking numerous initiatives to mitigate the risk of infection in our USA Partnership Pavilions. These initiatives were successfully implemented at the Singapore Air Show in February this year.
 



USA Partnership Pavilion COVID-19 Precautions

  • Hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, personal hygiene reminders and “Conduct business without handshakes” signs will be provided in every booth, in all Meeting Points, Exhibitors’ Lounges and Conference Rooms
     
  • All food items in the USA Partnership Pavilion will be individually wrapped and beverages served by an appointed staff member. NO self-service will be allowed
     
  • Staff will be required to wear protective gloves when handling food and beverages
     
  • We are doubling our cleaning staff at all shows until further notice
     
  • In addition to the thermal scanners we strongly suggest that show organizers utilize at the show’s registration area, there will be a non-contact thermal scanner available in the USA Partnership Pavilion Meeting Point for anyone’s use. The local prescribed procedures will be posted and followed if a fever is detected
     
  • Kallman Worldwide will highlight the location of on-site medical facilities on all floor plans produced for the USA Partnership Pavilion
     
  • Water bottles will be available; water coolers will not
     
  • ALL USA Partnership Pavilion exhibitors will register their mobile phone numbers with Kallman Worldwide to allow for immediate contact should that be required
     
  • We will conduct a pre-event briefing (webinar), for all our exhibitors, specifically focused on COVID-19, to ensure that everyone has the most up to date information and maximum situational awareness
     

In its 1,000-year history, the trade show industry has survived every imaginable catastrophe. In all cases the recovery was aided by cautious businessmen and women following best practices and getting back to (trade show) work.  We encourage you to share any additional ideas or best practices you are aware of so that we can build the safest possible environment for us all.

We are following the coordinated advice of the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control, local Ministries of Health and individual show organizers to implement best practices and precautions at all of our events. Please refer to these international authorities for further guidance:

*Exhibitors are reminded that they must not dismantle their stands or remove exhibits before the official close of show. Security staff will be under strict instruction to stop exhibitors taking exhibits out of the halls before this time.

Safety Clothing
High visibility clothing or vest, and thick soled boots to protect the feet are required during both Build Up and Dismantle.

Kallman Worldwide does not provide safety clothing.

Badge Information
Registration is not currently available however an email will be sent when registration is live. 

All Exhibiting Stand Personnel are required to display an Exhibitor Pass at all times during the build up, show open days and dismantle. You can order your Exhibitor Passes via the online registration system which will be available in May 2020. Once you have registered your stand personnel, an e-badge will be issued to every individual.

Build Access Wristbands
Valid during build-up and breakdown only, and are to be used by personnel setting up stands. Please note wristbands will be available to collect onsite and will be required to gain access to the exhibition halls.

*Each individual will need to collect their own wristband and will need to provide a form of ID.

INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INFORMATION

Visa Requirements
To enter Singapore, you need a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the date of your intended stay. If you plan on regional travel beyond Singapore, make sure that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date you plan to enter other countries in the region. You do not need a visa for tourist or business visits up to 90 days.

How many badges will I receive and how to do I obtain them?
There will be no limit to the number of exhibitor passes you can register.

Where Can I Access Taxis?
There are numerous taxis available in Singapore that offer reliable services. The taxi fare from the airport to Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria is about $15 and to the city about $20, subject to surcharges.
There are two taxi stands :

  • Foyer 1 Taxi Stand – I42
  • Foyer 2 Taxi Stand – I02

 

Where Can I Get a Bus?
Six bus services ply the routes around the Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria. These are the bus stop numbers:

  • 96229 – Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria: Bus services 35, 47 and 118
  • 96029 – Expo Halls 1/2/3: Bus services 12, 24, 38
  • 96029 – Expo Halls 1/2/3: Bus services 12, 24, 38

 

Is there a train service available?
Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria is served by two MRT lines: the East-West Line and Downtown Line. The EXPO MRT station is next to Hall 6.

  • Trains arrive every 5 minutes from Changi International Airport and Tanah Merah MRT station. Change to the Changi Airport branch line of the East-West Line at Tanah Merah MRT station if you are coming from CBD areas such as Raffles Place and Tanjong Pagar.
  • On the Downtown Line, it takes only 30 minutes from CBD areas such as Clarke Quay, Marina Bay and River Valley.

When and where can I pick up my Official Catalogue?
The Show Guide will be available during the show days. The location is TBD by the organizers and venue.


Where can I find the Organizer’s Office?
The Gastech Organizer’s Office will be located within the walkway between Halls 2 and 3.

Is dining available onsite?
There are restaurants located within the public areas of the venue that will be open offering a wide range of food and drink.


What services are offered in the USA Partnership Pavilion?
The Meeting Point, located in stand A652, will be open during show hours and is reserved exclusively for exhibitors and their guests. It is not open to the public and all exhibitors are required to wear a U.S. Pavilion lanyard or U.S. Pavilion access sticker to enter the Meeting Point. 
Here, we will offer:

  • Complimentary refreshments and lite snacks
  • Coffee, hot tea, and a selection of cold beverages
  • Welcome desk located at stand A652


Is WiFi available?
SingEXPO provides complimentary WI-Fi service of up to 10 Mbps for all visitors and event attendees, the service:

  • Provides connectivity to approximately 35,000 active devices across Singapore EXPO and MAX Atria, concurrently across 123,000 sqm of the venue
  • Addresses visitors and event attendees’ basic requirements like checking of emails, normal internet browsing and surfing of social media platforms
  • The devices need to be 5 GHz enabled for optimal performance. Devices on 2.4 GHz will be supported on a best effort basis


Which security measures are in place?
Gastech security will operate within the Exhibition Halls and conference areas throughout the tenancy. While every reasonable precaution is taken during the event to ensure the premises are adequately patrolled, the organizers expressly disclaim responsibility for any loss or damage to property of any exhibitor from any cause. In the event of loss or damage, exhibitors should report immediately to the Organizer Office with details of the loss or damage sustained timings and description of articles etc.

Event venue halls are vulnerable places. The following important points will assist when considering how to secure products and belongings whilst on-site:

• Delegate one member of your personnel responsible for your company’s safety and security.
• Under no circumstances should a stand be unmanned during the show open periods of the exhibition.
• Exhibitors should instruct their personnel not to leave their stand with exhibits unattended at any time when the halls are open, whether during the installation, open or dismantling periods.
• Do not leave money, handbags, mobile / cell phones, valuables etc., in unlocked cupboards or drawers on your stand while it is unattended or at night.
• Laptops should be removed overnight.
• Check all lockable desks and cupboards before leaving your stand.
• Please note that build-up and breakdown days are high-risk periods. You are recommended to work in pairs so that the stand is manned at all times.
• Make sure you arrive prior to the official opening time and do not leave your stand at night before the hall is clear of visitors.
• Your stand must not be left unattended at any time. You should not leave the hall until all visitors have left each evening.
• Should you have small valuables that you wish to leave on your stand, you are advised to provide yourself with lockable cabinets or other safe storage areas.
• Do not bring valuable products onto your stand.
• All products and portable items must be removed from your stand as soon as possible after the show closes on the final day.
• Delivery and collection of your stand should be planned well in advance. We would advise you to bring a helper to set up and dismantle your stand, so that it is not left unattended at any time.
• The organizer welcomes reports on any suspicious sightings that may occur at the show.
