The Astronaut Al Worden "Endeavour" Scholarship is a nation-to-nation education initiative to encourage young people to pursue careers as engineers and explorers.
Named for Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden, and his spacecraft, the Endeavour Scholarship pays all expenses for a week-long, hands-on astronaut training experience at Space Camp at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. It is administered by Kallman Worldwide as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and is funded by proceeds from every Kallman USA Partnership Pavilion at leading aerospace and defense exhibitions around the world, plus sponsors, donors and partners.
For more than 30 years, Kallman Worldwide has addressed corporate social responsibility (CSR) head-on with meaningful advocacy and outreach programs on virtually every continent. From Chile to Dubai, Australia to Kuala Lumpur, we appreciate that international business is built on the same trust that leads to relationships and lasting friendships. Kallman’s CSR activities such as the Astronaut Al Worden Endeavour Scholarship are one way we support our global friends and demonstrate our sincere desire to make the world a better place.
THE MISSION BEGINS

As one of only 24 people to have flown from Earth to the Moon, Al Worden was a role model for career engineers.
In the decades following his historic 1971 flight, he applied his business acumen, technical talents and passion for innovation to a wide range of interests in industry, academia and public service. In particular, he was an active advocate for the future engineering workforce — in all disciplines — and the communities in which they live and work around the world.
In 2013, Kallman Worldwide and Colonel Worden embarked on a global goodwill mission to promote science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education as the foundation for careers in exploration.
Worden effectively served as an “ambassador” for U.S. industry and as an advocate for the next generation of engineers, alongside Kallman Worldwide. In addition to appearances at aerospace & defense events, Worden visited local schools and universities to talk with students of all ages, sharing his “STEM to Space” life story to inspire theirs.
THE MISSION CONTINUES
Informed now by these experiences and heartened by the relationships Kallman and Worden cultivated around the world, the Astronaut Al Worden “Endeavour” Scholarship passes the torch to help light the way for students from international airshow communities to pursue their dreams and contribute more purposefully to the future of humankind on Earth and in the universe.
