Why Exhibit at Paris Show Show 2017?

For one week every two years, Paris is the center of the aerospace universe, and the stars come out to shine.

Since the inaugural event at the Grand Palais in 1909, France’s passion for flight has uniquely fueled this world-class forum for pioneers, buyers and suppliers.

The 2017 event coincides with a decided uptick in demand across the global supply chain. Geo-political shifts and dynamic security risks are boosting defense budgets. New prosperity and mobility, particularly in the developing world, are enabling more people to travel, and pushing aircraft production to record levels. Indeed, the pace of innovation is propelling virtually every sector of this famously competitive industry to go higher, farther, faster than ever.

The last edition of the Salon du Bourget hosted more than 2,300 exhibitors from 48 countries, and 150,000-plus visitors, including 298 official delegations representing 91 nations, and organizers are anticipating a record-breaker this year.

As industry grows, so grows the show. Whether you’re a perennial at Paris, a cyclical player or looking to make your debut in 2017, the question this year is not, “Why the Paris Air Show,” but rather, “Why not?”

Why Exhibit in the U.S. International Pavilion?

Since the days of the Wrights and Bleriot, the Lafayette Escadrille and Lindbergh in the early 20th Century, France and the United States have shared a proud history, healthy competition and mutual respect for each other’s pioneering accomplishments in flight.

Today the two countries have built on their reputations to rank, respectively, as the world’s #1 and #2 leading aviation and aerospace exporters.

America’s place on the Paris stage has always reflected this status, and since 1996, Kallman Worldwide has played a leading role at Le Bourget as the organizer of the U.S. International Pavilion. The 2015 edition saw more than 300 American exhibitors at the show, 230 in the Pavilion alone, which reinforced its place as the hub of the U.S. presence here.

In 2017, we anticipate a prominent contingent of U.S. government, military and elected officials to jumpstart the Pavilion with exhibitor tours and meetings on opening day. Attention will be heightened throughout the week by our schedule of U.S. networking and hospitality events, news announcements and industry briefings.

For the second Paris Air Show in a row, we’ll also be honored by the participation of Apollo 15 Command Module Pilot, Col. Al Worden, USAF-Ret., our goodwill ambassador for aerospace innovation and careers. In addition to his work with exhibitors during the trade week, Col. Worden will be a featured speaker during “America’s Aerospace Open House,” the Kallman-produced event that welcomes families, friends and aviation fans visiting the show during the public weekend to learn about aerospace innovation and gain extra inspiration from the American industry community.

My love for the international events industry started just over 10 years ago. I came from the freight forwarding business where I was working on big shipments for trade shows. Once I dove into the sales side of the business, I found great satisfaction; I knew I was going to make a career here. I now manage a team of six outstanding sales associates who focus on helping U.S. companies grow their businesses and stand out from competitiors at shows around the world. Every day I look forward to building new relationships and helping our customers reach their export goals.
