IDEX 2021 will feature the 6th edition of NAVDEX, the maritime security show that was first launched during IDEX 2011, and quickly evolved to become the largest naval defence and maritime security exhibition in the region.

IDEX and NAVDEX demonstrate the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence. It is a unique platform to establish and strengthen relationships with government departments, businesses and armed forces and in 2019 attracted 1,250 exhibiting companies and over 108,000 attendees.

IDEX continues to attract a growing number of international decision makers from within the defence industry, from governments, armed forces and senior military personnel. The number of visitors increased to reach to 124,000 Visitors - Compared to 105,000 visitors in the past edition, representing a growth of 18%

The number of exhibitors increased to 1,310 Exhibitors - Compared to 1,235 exhibitors in the past edition, representing a growth of 6%

The number of participating countries increased to 62 Countries - Compared to 57 countries in the past edition, representing a growth of 9%

he number of participating national pavilions increased to 33 Pavilions - Compared to 28 pavilions in the past edition, representing a growth of 18%

The value of deals signed by the UAE Armed Forces was worth AED20.053 bn - Compared to AED19.17 bn in the past edition, representing a growth of 5%

The number of national & international media representatives increase to 1,213 media representatives - Compared to 1,034 media representatives in the past edition, representing a growth of 17%

 

NAVDEX 2019 by the Numbers

The number of exhibitors at NAVDEX increased to 113 Companies - Compared to 99 companies in the past edition, representing a growth of 14%

The total exhibition space dedicated to NAVDEX 2019 increased to 45,000SQM - Compared to 30,000SQM in the past edition, representing a growth of 52%

The number of participating military units in NAVDEX increased to 20 military units - From 15 countries, representing a growth of 66%

My love for the international events industry started just over 10 years ago. I came from the freight forwarding business where I was working on big shipments for trade shows. Once I dove into the sales side of the business, I found great satisfaction; I knew I was going to make a career here. I now manage a team of six outstanding sales associates who focus on helping U.S. companies grow their businesses and stand out from competitiors at shows around the world.
