Why Middle East Electricity 2017?

The rapid pace of industrialization and development in the Middle East and North Africa is creating extraordinary demand for electricity. Studies show energy consumption has doubled in the past 10 years and current resources and infrastructure cannot keep pace. The region is budgeting billions for new strategies, equipment and services to get ahead of anticipated future requirements.

Some estimates peg the amount earmarked for current and planned Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) industry projects at more than $247 billion, including a projected $49 billion to achieve power-generating capacity required to support infrastructure through 2020, with the U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia driving the large demand.

Middle East Electricity, the world's largest power exhibition, is the established B-to-B marketplace for the region's power players. Now entering its 42nd edition, the show has grown and diversified by consistently attracting a wide cross-section of influential buyers to meet the world's most innovative suppliers.

Why Exhibit in the U.S. International Pavilion?

In 2015, $26 billion in trade between the U.S. and U.A.E. generated America's third largest trade surplus — $20 billion — and 2016 looks to continue the trend. The U.S. International Pavilion capitalizes on this strong relationship to anchor America's presence at MEE 2017.

Since 2006, Kallman Worldwide has been the official U.S. representative of the show and organizer of the Pavilion. In step with MEE organizers over the past decade, the Pavilion has grown and diversified to consistently feature America's innovative partners and suppliers.

American quality speaks for itself, and the U.S. International Pavilion turns up the volume for you at MEE 2017. In addition to Kallman's end-to-end exhibitor services, on-site support and amenities, Pavilion exhibitors will benefit from a new high-traffic hall location, a robust schedule of industry/business briefings with local and regional utilities, and the active participation of U.S. Department of Commerce representatives from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to connect you with qualified buyers from around the region. Historically, the Pavilion also has been honored by visits from the royal family (click below for past show pics).

Power your future.
Start at the source. The demand for electricity in the Middle East and North Africa is creating powerful business opportunities for equipment and services providers. The show is focused on big market sectors, and attracts a wide cross-section of buyers and influencers — everyone will be at MEE. The Pavilion will be a focal point for anyone looking for American innovation, quality and commitment.

Middle East Electricity is organized around three core market sectors.

Power Generation
MEE covers every category of power source including nuclear, coal, solar, wind, water, oil and gas.

Power Transmission
From hardware to software, the show addresses the full spectrum of transmission technology and innovation.

Power Distribution
Smart grids, micro grids, real-time pricing and new performance standards are driving new distribution models.

Do the math. MEE presents a concentrated, competitive, quality marketplace:

  • 1,500 exhibitors
  • + 65,000 sqm of products
  • + 58,456 total attendance
  • + 126 countries represented
  • + 24 country pavilions

= the world's biggest electricity event — (and those are just the 2016 numbers)!

The U.S. International Pavilion is your export advantage at MEE. Because it presents the highest concentration of U.S. equipment and services at the show, it's a magnet for buyers looking for American quality, innovation and partnership.

In addition to our complete suite of pre-show, on-site and post-show services, captialize on the extra attention, activities and access we're planning to generate extra attention and interest in American suppliers:

  • New location — 500 sqm of concentrated American presence in a new, high-traffic space centrally located in Section 1 of Sheikh Saeed Hall.
  • Anticipated industry briefings with representatives of local/regional utilities.
  • Participation of U.S. Commercial Service representatives from countries in and around the MENA region
