Sales Assistant

We are currently seeking an ambitious Sales Assistant to join our team in our Waldwick, NJ location. This entry level position requires a self-starter with excellent organizational and people skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced challenging environment and has an interest in Sales. Experience/interest in tradeshows and/or international business is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Initial research of companies to qualify them for potential leads.  This will include internet research as well as phone calls to identify appropriate contact person. 
  • Keep records of conversations with clients/potential clients via sales management system.
  • Assist in preparing promotional material to advertise sales opportunities.
  • In time, plan and attend domestic and international trade shows and events with Sales Team for sale generation.
  • Become a proficient user of company sales database.  Enter contacts, document phone calls made by Sales Manager, and run various sales reports.  Data entry from business cards.
  • Conduct research on new markets or specific events
  • Create contract forms in Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Use Constant Contact (under the direction of sales team) to monitor bounces, hits, and clicks and prepare informational reports for Sales.  Monitor the Do-Not-Call/ Email requests.
  • Prepare exhibitors lists for sales team attending a show (both “walking” or exhibiting).
  • Update Sales Contracts in Adobe Acrobat for each Show:  Sponsorship, Space, Special Contracts, Co-Exhibitors.
  • Work with members of the Sales Team to grow into eventual Account Executive

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree in Marketing, Business, International Relations or similar required. 
  • Some office experience required, preferably in Sales or Marketing support. 
  • Some prior experience in exhibit sales, sponsorship or other business to business sales is helpful.
  • The ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, is required.
