Encore: U.S. exhibitors at FIDAE 2016 give back to Chilean children, families and community

FIDAE is more than an airshow. It’s a celebration of Chile’s deep cultural affection for aviation, and national pride in hosting the world’s aerospace leaders in Santiago every two years.

In that same spirit of goodwill and friendship, long after the show has ended the U.S. International Pavilion continues to give back to the people of Chile with direct support for the country’s community health and social services.

Over the past 18 years, American and Canadian exhibitors in the U.S. International Pavilion have donated more than $150,000 for children, families and senior citizens in need. Kids from COAR visited U.S. DoD aircrat and the Texas ANG at FIDAE

This year the Pavilion will continue to support the Corporation of Friends of the Roberto del Rio Hospital (COAR), a hostel that accommodates children and their mothers during prolonged treatment for cancer, leukemia and other life threatening illnesses.

Exhibitors also will continue to support Colabora, a not-for-profit organization managed by Chilean Air Force officer’s wives, and dedicated to serving Air Force personnel and older adults with limited resources.
