Parking Information

Parking at the QNCC Multi storey Car Park (located next to the roundabout/West Wing) is free of charge and no car passes are required/issued by the venue.


Shuttle Buses

Shuttle buses will run between QNCC and Hamad Port. 
Shuttle bus schedule will be available within the Official Show Guide distributed at the service counter
of Hall 5.

Visa Requirements

U.S. citizens are subject to all UAE immigration laws. U.S. citizens should familiarize themselves with such laws before traveling to, or residing in, the UAE.

  • Passport Validity: A passport valid for at least six months beyond date of entry is required to enter the UAE.
  • Personal travel of 30 days or less: A U.S. citizen with a regular passport may obtain a no fee visitor visa upon arrival.
  • Stays longer than 30 days: All travelers must obtain a visa before arrival in the UAE. Visitors on a 30 day visa may request a visa extension, which is at the discretion of immigration officials. Anyone planning to work or study in the UAE must obtain the appropriate visa.

Dimdex Show 2020 FAQ AND SHOW INFORMATION

Visa Requirements

See the government of Qatar’s website for visa information.

Requirements for Entry:

  • Passport valid for at least six months
  • Visa

Be sure to leave Qatar before your visa expires.  The Qatari Government charges as much as USD $55 for each day that you overstay your visa, up to USD $3,300.

For further information, see the Qatari Ministry of Interior website.

Tourist visas: When traveling on a U.S. passport, the Government of Qatar does not require prior visa arrangements and travelers may obtain a free visa waiver upon arrival.  The waiver is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance and entitles the holder to spend up to 30 days in Qatar, or multiple entries during the 30-day validity.  Passports must have a minimum validity of six months.  More information can be found on the Government of Qatar website.

How many badges will I receive and how to do I obtain them?

Exhibiting companies are issued with a number of badges based on the size of their stand. Exhibitors receive one exhibitor badge for every 5 square meter of space.

Where Can I Access Taxis?

‘Karwa’ taxis are readily available and generally offer the lowest fares. Fares are charged and fixed by the Government of Qatar and cars are all fitted with automatic tamper proof meters. Fares are charged on a “Point to Point” basis. The minimum fare at the airport starts at

Qr.25/- and Qr.1.20/km. Within Doha, the rate falls to Qr.4/- and Qr.1.20 per km, while outside Doha Qr.1.8/per km, which is also applicable to night time fares. There are special taxis equipped with elevator mechanisms for passengers with special needs which can be taken at the airport, if required.\

Karwa’s can also booked in advance through the Call Center 800-TAXI (8294), or alternatively through the Mowasalat app, that can be downloaded free via ‘Karwa Taxi App’. Please note, many drivers navigate by landmarks rather than street addresses, so describe your address and your destination in as much detail as possible. Alternatively, many hotels also offer a limousine service and there is also Uber for those who have accounts in their home countries.

 

Where Can I Get a Bus?

Shuttle buses will run between QNCC and Hamad Port. Those wishing to visit the Warship Display must first register at the Warship Display registration desk in the main foyer. Shuttle buses schedule will be available within the Official Show Guide distributed at the service counter of Hall 5.

Doha Metro is operating 1 out of 3 lines including the free metro link shuttles.

Where are the Car Parks?

Parking at the QNCC multi-story Car Park (located next to the roundabout/West Wing) is free of charge and no car passes are required/issued by the venue.

VIP Parking

Each exhibiting company with the space exceeding 80m2 will be given one (1) free of charge VIP car pass for the VIP parking located in the West Wing VIP Car Park.
QNCC has VIP designated car parks to the East and West of the main entrance. All VIPs must have the relevant VIP pass supplied by QNCC, in order to enter this area.

Exhibitor Badges will provide access to the venue during Build-Up and Dismantle.

 

Can we park at the site during Build-Up?

Yes, the parking during build up and breakdown is free.

 

Is there a safety dress code during Build-Up?

High visibility clothing or vest, and fully closed footwear are required at all times during Build-Up & Dismantle. According to the “Safe Working Practices,” contractors are required to wear suitable protective clothing relevant to their job which includes eye, hearing, foot, hand protection, etc.

 

Will there be food available onsite during Build-Up and Dismantle?

Yes, the QNCC café provides a variety of food and beverage services.

When & where does the Official Opening Ceremony take place?

When: Monday March 16, 2020 | 9:30 - 10:00
Where: QNCC at Al Mayassa Theatre

(By invitation only) The Official 2020 Opening Ceremony will be held at QNCC at Al Mayassa Theatre on Monday, 16th March 2020 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani. Guests attending the Opening Ceremony must be seated by 09:30hrs.

 

Is there a dress code for show days?

Appropriate business attire is required.

 

When and where can I pick up my Official Catalogue?

A copy of the Show Guide is distributed to every exhibitor, you may also pick up a copy from the service counter located in hall 5.

 

Where can I find the Organizer's Office?

The organizer’s office can be found in hall 5 counter.

 

Where can I find the Exhibitor Services’ Office?

Stand contractor & others are in hall 4 counter, Shipping and logistics in hall 3 counter and QNCC service desk in hall 6 counter.

 

How can I book a conference room with the USA Partnership Pavilion?

Please go to the USA Pavilion Meeting Point located in Booth H6-223B once you arrive onsite. Reservations are on a first come-first served basis and are limited to 1 hour per exhibiting company per day.  When booking conference rooms, exhibitors should provide:

  • Date (Day) and Time of Meeting
  • Length of Meeting (Note:  Times are limited to 1 hour per day per exhibiting company)
  • Number of attendees
  • On-site contact name and number

Is dining available onsite?

The Spider Café is centrally located on the first floor of the QNCC, and offers snacks, refreshments and an assortment of desserts. The café is open from 07:30am to 05:00pm during show days. There will also be a cafeteria inside the exhibition hall.

What services are offered in the USA Partnership Pavilion?

The business centre will be available during show hours and provide the following range of services:

Is Wi-Fi available?

1 MB Wireless connectivity is provided throughout the QNCC.  Suitable for web browsing and email access. It is not advisable to use free wireless internet for bandwidth intense or delay sensitive applications.  For additional Internet services click here

 

Which security measures are in place?

All personnel entering the exhibition venue must hold a Dimdex badge. Badges and Passes must be ordered using the appropriate forms available via the Dimdex Exhibitor Zone. Failure to order badges online prior to arrival may result in delays on entering the site.

Passes can be collected upon arrival at the QNCC, they MUST be worn at all times when in the exhibition halls. In addition, Photographic I.D. must be carried at all times. Please note badges are not transferable.

All stand, chalet & pavilion construction must be completed by 12:00pm on Sunday, March 15th. Exhibition product set up should also be completed by 12:00pm on Sunday, March 15th. At this time, all personnel must vacate the exhibition halls for the Commencement of Security Sweep. Please note after this time no re-admittance to the venue will be allowed until 08:00am on Monday, March 16th (opening show day).

The Venue, QNCC has 24 hour Security across the entire Venue for the duration of DIMDEX 2020.

 

What do I do in an emergency?

In the case of an emergency, a First Aid professional will be available at the exhibition at all times.
