Kallman Foundation Launches Discover Flight Program to Inspire Youth to Pursue Careers in STEM
New program gives young women around the world their first pilot experience and connects them to a global network of aviation mentors
Waldwick, NJ, USA — October 9, 2025 — Kallman Foundation is proud to announce the launch of Discover Flight, a bold new initiative that will empower young women from underserved and underrepresented communities around the world to pursue their dreams in aviation and aerospace. The program will provide scholarships for high school students (ages 16–18) to take their first flight lessons at certified flying schools and receive year-round mentorship from astronauts, pilots, engineers, and other aviation leaders.
“Every pilot, engineer, and innovator can point to that single moment when their dream of flight became real,” said Tom Kallman, Founder and Executive Director of the Kallman Foundation. “With Discover Flight, we’re creating those life-changing moments for young women around the world — helping them imagine new futures and giving them the tools to get there.”
The program builds on the success of the Al Worden Endeavour Scholarship, another Kallman Foundation initiative, which has provided scholarships for over a hundred students and educators from around the world to attend Space Camp USA. While Endeavour allows a select number of students to experience a week-long, in-depth astronaut training program, Discover Flight allows Kallman Foundation to amplify the number of youth reached with these life-changing programs by bringing the dream of aviation to triple the number of young people.
The first Discover Flight scholarships will be awarded this November at the Dubai Airshow 2025 in partnership with International Community Schools (ICS), Emirates National Schools (ENS), and Informa Events. Winners will be celebrated at a special recognition ceremony, where they will receive a commemorative flight jacket and mission patch as symbols of their achievement.
Award ceremonies are also planned for later in 2026 at the Singapore Airshow and FIDAE in Santiago, Chile, where additional students in-country will be given Discover Flight scholarships.
Discover Flight is a CSR initiative by international trade show company Kallman Worldwide. For more information about Discover Flight, partnership opportunities, or ways to support, visit www.endeavourscholarship.org.
