APOLLO 15 COMMAND MODULE PILOT COL. AL WORDEN (USAF-Ret.) VISITS RIAT
July 12-14th 2018

Although he has been to the moon, this will be Col. Worden’s first trip to RIAT. During Col. Worden’s two-day schedule at RIAT, he will visit with industry leaders and their guests during the flying displays, hewill be featured alongside the Red Arrow engineers in the show’s “Techno Zone” showcase for student-led science initiatives, and he’ll be a guest judge in the Junior Engineer Competition.

The day before RIAT opens, Col. Worden will visit several area high schools and a technical university to promote science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. His extraordinary lifetime accomplishments and “down-to-earth” personality make Col. Worden an ideal goodwill ambassador for the U.S. and an inspirational advocate for the aerospace workforce.   We are looking for corporate supporters who not only share “Al’s” passion for STEM, but who might also enjoy spending time with one of the 14 remaining men on earth who have been to the moon and back.

U.S. DEDICATION TO WWI HEROES BROOKWOOD AMERICAN CEMETERY AND MEMORIAL
July 15th 2018, 1:30-2:00 PM

Brookwood is an American Battlefield Memorial Commission (ABMC) managed cemetery located between Farnborough and London. On the Sunday afternoon before the opening of the Farnborough Airshow, Kallman Worldwide will lead American government, military and industry leaders, including Congressional delegates, to attend a private memorial service honoring the heroism and ultimate sacrifice of the 476 WWI U.S. servicemen and women interred here.

Red “Buddy” poppies, long a symbol of the war, will be handed out to all participants to wear in memoriam during the show week. The poppy symbol will also be incorporated into the USA Partnership Pavilion logo on-site at Farnborough as an additional tribute to the sacrifices made by so many for the freedoms we enjoy today.

USA PARTNERSHIP PAVILION OPENING CEREMONY AND TRIBUTE TO THE RAF100
July 16th 2018, 3:00-4:30 PM

On Monday afternoon, July 16, opening day of the Farnborough Airshow, Kallman Worldwide and the USA Partnership Pavilion will host a VIP tribute to the Royal Air Force in honor of the service’s 100th Anniversary during our traditional Opening Ceremonies and Ribbon Cutting.

In addition to welcoming remarks from U.S. military, government and elected officials, the centerpiece of the event will be the presentation to RAF leaders of an American flag flown to the Moon and back on Apollo 15, signed by Col. Worden, who will also participate in the ceremony.

We have purposefully scheduled the proceedings in the afternoon to dovetail with Farnborough’s evening VIP reception, which for the first time will be held this year on the airshow grounds. By design, the USA Partnership Pavilion Opening Ceremony will transition into an extended afternoon networking event for U.S. and UK industry to celebrate all we have achieved together in the past, and all we can accomplish in our next century of cooperation.
