PARIS AIR SHOW OFFERS NEW MARKETS
FOR FIRST-TIME U.S. EXHIBITORS
Undeterred by the global economic slow-down almost 20 percent of the American aerospace manufacturers taking part in the U.S. International Pavilion at this year's Paris Air Show are exhibiting for the first time at
the big, biennial aviation get-together.
According to Tom Kallman, CEO of Kallman Worldwide, Inc., organizer of the American contingent showing their wares at Le Bourget from June 15-21, fully 30 of the 160 companies under the banner of the U.S. Pavilion have never displayed their products
at Paris before. "Not only are the companies present for the first time," Kallman said, "but many of the products they are showing are entirely new or unique as well."
Kallman noted that there are a record ten state contingents at this year's show, led by Florida, North Carolina, Washington, Connecticut and Maryland. They are joined by Mississippi, Missouri, Arizona, Illinois and New York. The pavilion also includes
presentations by NASA, The Department of Defense and The Office of Naval Research. A special area has been set aside to recognize companies introducing or emphasizing "green" technology or environmentally sustainable manufacturing processes. As its own contribution
to the "Green Theme" of the pavilion, Kallman Worldwide has produced an on-line, virtual Exhibitor Directory and Product Guide, reducing the need for the traditional printed listing of companies and product offerings. Several other environmentally friendly
concepts have been introduced to the pavilion this year as well.
Full details on the American presence at the Paris Air Show including the Exhibitor List and Product Guide can be found on the organizer's website, at
