Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) is an event for companies and individuals involved in the chartering, leasing, selling, purchasing, operating and servicing of business and VIP jets for private or corporate use. This dedicated B2B conference and exhibition for the region's business aviation sector is expected to double in size next year as industry forecasts put regional sector value climbing to around US $800 million by 2012.
MEBA 2007 was a highly successful event for exhibitors, with record breaking order figures of US $907 million. The show welcomed 90 exhibiting companies and attendance figures during the week reached 2,400+ business visitors from 54 countries.
The three-day event, running from 16-18 November 2008, at Airport Expo Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is generating intense global interest, according to Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E), which organizes the event on behalf of the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA). MEBA has evolved from a one-day conference held alongside the Dubai Airshow in 2005 to a three-day conference and exhibition with a static park aircraft display. The Middle East is now the world’s fastest expanding market for private jets, “MEBA is virtually mandatory for anyone wishing to operate successfully within the Middle East’s business aviation sector ”, Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum (President, Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai, Chairman of the Emirates Group).
