HomSec 2008 addresses the fields of global security, protection and defense including terrorism, organized crime and large scale natural and human disasters. To deal with these threats, security law enforcement and civil protection forces as well as the armed forces must be equipped with the latest methods in order to detect and prevent, as well as neutralize and deal with such threats as quickly as possible.
HomSec has met the need for an international homeland defense show in Spain and is open to professional visitors exclusively. In 2007 there were 150 exhibitors and over 3,000 visiting professionals. HomSec 2008 is expected to quickly surpass these numbers.
HomSec 2008 will also host international conferences that will be held in conjunction with the exhibition to address new risks/threats and the security and technological responses to them.
The low U.S. dollar in conjunction with the demand for U.S. products and services presents great opportunities for U.S. companies in this market; Spain is one of our closest NATO ally nations.
